Spain's Naturist Beaches North
Galicia

NAME: Cala Insua

DIRECTIONS: 1.5 km, north of Perbes on the L-154 road, turn left and head towards the sea, or 1 km. south of the town of Boebre (Parga), 2nd right, drive for 800 meters where at end of lane one finds a small parking area Note: Cala Insua is not to be confused with a beach of similar name (Playa Insua) just south of the Betanzos Ria (fiord).

COMMENTS: This small cove is found by exploring the bushes around the parking area and finding small path slightly overgrown with vegetation. Small steep steps lead one down to beach. The predominant surface material is of medium golden sand with some gravel & rocks. The beach is approx. 40 m. in length by 5 m. average width. Sea conditions are calm, it is sheltered from wind on all but the most windy days. Out in the fiord it is common to see wind surfers, as the Ria de Betanzos, offers some protection from the open sea. Water conditions are good, no major pollution. It is also warmer than by ocean facing beaches by as much as 5°c. High Naturist population, This beach has enjoyed many new visitors since we first listed it back in 1996.
On our last visit, we enjoyed some very good snorkeling in its waters. An active and friendly community is taking hold.
